Pastor Roger Rockhoff was born in Geneva, NE and grew up in Tawas City, MI. He attended Michigan Lutheran High School in Saginaw and then went on to Northwestern College in Watertown, WI and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI, graduating in 1988. Pastor Rockhoff has served congregations in Litchfield, MN, Honolulu, HI, Tampa, FL, and Gainesville, FL. He has served at Tree of Life in Cary, NC since 2014. Pastor Rockhoff enjoys all sports, fishing, and outdoor activities. He has two brothers who also serve as WELS pastors–Jon, in Wichita, KS and David in Dorr, MI.
Pastor Rockhoff married Cindy (nee Hunt) who had 4 children (Cindy’s husband passed away from cancer in 2004). Cindy was born in Minneapolis, MN and grew up in Bloomington, MN. Cindy graduated from Doctor Martin Luther College in 1985 and has served as a WELS teacher (Pre-school and Kindergarten) in Brillion, WI, and currently at Precious Lambs Early Learning Center in Raleigh, NC, and has also taught piano lessons and plays the organ. Her hobbies are music, cooking, and, the Green Bay Packers (Pastor Rockhoff is a Detroit Lions fan!). Cindy has one brother–Jim Henrickson, who teaches at Calvary Lutheran School in Dallas, TX.
Pastor and Cindy have 4 children. Alex teaches at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Sioux Falls, SD. Jenny is a teacher at Gethsemane Lutheran School in Omaha, NE. Emily is a Pre-school Director at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, TN. Carrie is a Pre-school teacher at Christ the Lord Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, TN.
